ROOMS



A short describtion of the rooms and apartments:



1. Tandir room – The largest cave room, 50 m², has a shady private terrace: studio for winter and summer.



2. Arched room – A large cave room with an arch and two shady private terraces: both lovely painting places.



3. Grape room – A cave room, historically the winter storage place for (dry) grapes...: a writers room.



4. Balcony room – A cave room with a shady, private and large balcony on the sunset side of the valley: a perfect outside studio.
5. Pigeonhouse room – A large 'pigeonhouse' cave (30 m²) at the end of a 13 meters long tunnel....



6. Pasha room – A light and high arched room and a roof terrace with a view. This room can be used very well as an additional or single stay room.



7. Komsu–house – A direct neighbor house with four rooms, with the front gate door opposite to our front gate door. The house can accommodate two – six persons. It has its own entree, sitting room with fire place, large kitchen, master bedroom en suite, a two – four persons extra bedroom en suite and three terraces with superb view on Cappadocian surroundings.

ARTIST–IN–RESIDENCE TERMS 2012:

– 2012 fee for a one–person residency in a space with kitchenette and studio for four (4) weeks is € 750.
– For more detailled inquiry about the studio–apartments Tandir, Arch and Komsu–house (all with kitchenette) residency stay, send us an email.
– Two accepted residency artists cab stay in a shared apartment.
– An artist is always free to send an open application for upcoming years.
– A complete filled–in application form with a clear art project has to be presented to the Babayan Culture House Foundation.
– Those with special needs for the studios are requested to tell us in advance.

All deadlines and open call spaces are announced on the Babayan Culture House website and the websites of Res Artis and TransArtists.
The residency is open throughout the year except in January, February and March.
